Uwagi o utworach paleozoicznych na północ od Zgorzelca (Sudety Zachodnie)
Abstract
REMARKS ON THE PALAEOZOIC FORMATIONS OCCURRING NORTH OF ZGORZELEC (WEST SUDETES)SummaryGeological studies of the Palaeozoic formations from the area of the Łupkowe Mts. demonstrate that Cambrian, Upper Devonian and Lower Carboniferous deposits occur in the region situated north of Zgorzelec. The Cambrian deposits are represented by limestones interbedded by phyllites. Slightly phyllitized clay shales, clay arenaceous shales, diabases, diabase tufts and tuffites belong to the rocks of Upper Devonian age. The Lower Carboniferous deposits consist of slightly phyllitized clay and shales and mudstones.Rock series belonging to the individual geological periods border along the dislocations that resemble faults. The main tectonical character of the Lower Cambrian, Upper Devonian and Lower Carboniferous is a result of the activity of post-lower Carboniferous folding movements.Downloads
