Kontakt starszego paleozoiku Gór Kaczawskich z gneisami izerskimi między Kościelnikami Średnimi Olszyną Lubańską
Abstract
CONTACT OF THE OLDER PALAEOZOIC ROCKS OF THE KACZAWSKIE MTS. WITH THE IZERSKIE GNEISSES BETWEEN KOŚCIELNIKI ŚREDNIE AND OLSZYNA LUBAŃSKASummaryWhen carrying on cartographical works within the area of Leśna sheet, the present author investigated the contact between the phyllites of the Kaczawskie Mts. in the north and the Pogórze Izerskie gneisses in the south. According to the previous opinions both series were separated by a great vertical dislocation plane known in the literature the Main Intra-Sudetic Fault. The observations made by the author in the vicinity of Kościelniki Średnie and Olszyna Lubańska have demonstrated that at the gneiss-phyllite boundary, feldspathized schists occur, formed due to the metasomatism of phyllites. Towards the south, the schists gradually pass into thin-laminated gneisses, these in turn - into granodiorite ones. No traces of dislocation, which could point to a tectonical contact, have been found to occur at the phyllite-gneiss boundary there.Downloads
