Kwasy huminowe w węglu brunatnym z rejonu Władysławów-Chylin
Abstract
HUMIC ACIDS IN BROWN COAL OF THE WŁADYSŁAWOW-CHYLIN REGIONTwo methods of extracting the humic acids from brown coal have been elaborated and compared, i.e. octane method given by L. Arnold, depending upon extraction of humic acids using sodium octane, and alkaline method. For the investigation there was used brown coal of the Władysławów-Chylin region from three bore holes: Ignacew I, Stefania II and Leonia lA (Poznań district). The obtained humic acids and the intermediate products such as bitumens and hymatomelane acids were determined quantitatively. To characterize the humic acids in detail, the ash, the carbon and hydrogen contents, as well as both the carboxy and the hydroxy groups have been determined. When comparing the results of both methods of extracting the humic acids it was stated that the octane method is less productive than the alkaline method. However, it allows to obtain acids chemically less changed than those of the alkaline method.Downloads
