Związek między szczelinowatością zawodnieniem piaskowca magurskiego ze Śnieżnicy
Abstract
RELATION OF JOINTING TO WATER CONTENTS IN THE MAGURA SANDSTONE FROM ŚNIEŻNICA (BESKID WYSPOWY)The Carpathians belong to the areas relatively little known as concens their hydrogeological conditions, and opinions on factors deciding upon the water con-tents in the flysch are contradictory. To determine the influence of tectonical factors upon water contents of the Magura sandstones, the present authors commenced a methodical and research work on this problem. The Śnieżnica massif belongs to the Beskid Wyspowy and stretches northeast of the Mszana Dolna dale. The monoclinal syncline of Śnieżnica is built up of the Magura sandstones underlain by the impermeable formations of the sub-Magura beds and variegated beds.During the investigations the following directions of fractures have been determied: 1) 125-155°, 2) 59-63° and 211-245°, as well as 3) 360°.The jointing of the Magura sandstones amounts approximately 1,2 per cent. Moreover, the following hydro geological parameters have also been determined modulus of underground flow, exchange coefficient and time of exchange. On the basis of hydrogeological and tectonical observations three ground water basins have been distinguished, for which the value of water balance has been established. The water balance proved to be very differentiated within the apparently uniform water-bearing bed, which in the massif under discussion is represented by the Magura sandstones. It results of the investigations made that the water contents in the Magura sandstones from Śnieżnica depend upon intensity of development of tectonical and weathering fractures, as well as upon minimum influence of porosity. Hence, it may be assumed that the areas of increased water contents are connected within the Beskid Wyspowy with the fold bends, transverse elevations, overthrust zones and other strongly tectonic ally disturbed regions.Downloads
