Oznaczanie parametrów fizycznych gruntu w geologii inżynierskiej metodami izotopowymi
Abstract
DETERMINATION OF PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF SOIL BY ISOTOPIC METHODS IN ENGINEERING GEOLOGYThe increasing requirements of quick and precise reconnaissance of soils for building and engineering force to introduce new research methods based on the last achievements of science and technics. The article presents the isotopic methods which made possible a determination and investigation of changes in physical properties of soils. It is also stressed that using various research methods in proper interpretation of soil parameters is a very important problem. The examinations have also ·shown that isotopic methods .are the best ones to observe phenomena appearing in soil environment, as a result of man activity. The investigation of this type may be carried on the way not disturbing the natural processes, as well as not changing the structure and physical state of soil, i.e. without taking samples. In the paper there are presented the results of quantitative interpretation of consolidation process observed in an earth embankment heaped up on a peat bed 1,5-2,0 m in thickness. The measurements were made using isotopic probe of GO-52 type (20 mm in outside diameter), which may be used in determining the density of soil.Downloads
