Work is on this problem have not so far been carried on in Poland. In the hydrogen sulphide water taken from the well 301 C (depth 80 m, the author found sulphur bacteria of the genus Beggiatoa, and from the waiter taken in the well 3 P2, mine Piaseczno, she isolated thready sulphur bacteria.

A biological analysis of the mine hydrogen sulphide water has indicated the existence of a specific plankton, what may be of great interest for planktoners.

Moreover, it was found that besides sulphur bacteria there exist on the sulphur ore also other microorganisms, fex. algae and fungi (moulds and yeasts).
