Abstract

MAP OF MEAN STRATAL DENSITIES OF THE FORMATIONS OCCURRJNG IN POLAND ABOVE SEA LEVELSo far only single attempts were made to elaborate a map of mean densities of formations occurring above sea level. The works were restricted either to the individual isolated region of Poland, or to the mathematical interpolation of the values calculated for those bore hole in which measurements of volume weights had been made. The. Present authors took on the first work in Poland to prepare such a map for the entire area of the country, in the way connecting the results obtained in measurements of volume weights with the individual geological complexes, uniform as far as their age and lithology are concerned.
