Abstract

NORMAL FIELD OF VERTICAL COMPONENT Z OF THE EARTH'S MAGNETISM IN POLAND FOR THE EPOCH 1957,5So far, various formulae for normal field have been applied by many authors in Poland when reducing the materials obtained from magnetic surveys. However, the covering of the whole area of Poland by magnetic survey of vertical component Z forced to elaborate these materials in a uniform way and gave a basis to calculate formula for normal field. For this purpose measurements were made in the years 1956-1959 in the area of Poland by means of La Cour’s BMZ magnetormeters at 417 measurement points located, first of all at the base points of the magnetic surveys carried out previously.
