Abstract

INCREASED DOLOMITE CONTENTS IN THE UPPER CRETACEOUS DEPOSITS IN BORE HOLE TYSZOWCE IG-IIn the so far examined Upper Cretaceous deposits magnesium contents have been observed in minor quantities only. In contrast with this the Upper Cretaceous deposits found at Tyszowce are reported to have a double content of this element. The bore hole Tyszowce situated within the Lublin marginal synclinorium, pierced the Upper Cretaceous deposits at a depth of 41,7-664,8 m. The deposits here considered are developed mainly in the calcareous-marly facies, represented by inoceram limestones and by marls and chalk. At the bottom of the Upper Cretaceous - in the Albian-Cenomanian - are found dolomite sandstones and conglomerates containing numerous fragments of Astartian dolomites. When analysing the insoluble parts, the contents of 3 components, i.e. of day sand and carbonates have been established. This allowed to present the deposits in a classification triangle, according to J. Czermiński (Fig. 2). The rooks of the individual stages, shown in the diagram, are marked by various symbols.
