Abstract

FACIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE ROETHIAN DEPOSITS IN THE AREA OF SOUTHERN POLANDThe article deals with the results of the study on stratigraphy of the Roethian deposits occurring in the area of Southern Poland. Basing on the results of the drillings made within the Carpathian fore-deep, Silesian-Cracow area, the author has divided the Roethian into two substages - lower and upper. In each of these substages two members have been distinguished. The subdivison was made on the lithological differences of the sediment studied.
