Lepidopteris ottonis retyku południowej części monokliny przedsudeckiej
Abstract
LEPIDOPTERIS OTTONIS FROM RHAETIC DEPOSITS OF THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE FORE SUDETIC MONOCLINESummaryBore hole Kołaczkowice has been drilled in the area of the Fore-Sudetic monocline, north-east of Rawicz (Fig. 1, p. II). Under the Tertiary formation there occur here grey claystones, siltstones and fine-grained sandstones. At a depth of 294,8–296,2 m some leaf fragments of Pteridospermae have been encountered and determined as Lepidopteris ottonis (G ö p p.) S c h i m p. (Tabl. I, Figs. l and 2,Tabl. II, Figs. 3–5). The specimens of this species have been known in Poland to occur only in the Gorzów Beds of Rhaetic age, in the vicinity of Gorzów Śląski.Due to their lithological nature the grey rocks from bore hole Kołaczkowice may probably be referred to the Wielichowo Beds. Spore-and-pollen analysis of two samples (294,8–296,2 m) have been made by T. Orłowska-Zwolińska. Sporomorphs of Rhiccisporites tuberculatus L u n d b 1. predominate in the spectrum analysed, suggesting here the Upper Rhaetic age. The grey rocks encountered at Kołaczkowice may be an intermediate member between the type Gorzów Beds and the type Wielichowo Beds. If, however, these are deposits related to the Wielichowo Beds, then the index form Lepidopteris ottonis (G ö p p.) S c h i m p. may point to their Rhaetic age – Lepidopteris zone.Downloads
