Tektonika zrębowego wyniesienia podlasko-lubelskiego w świetle wyników badań tellurycznych
Abstract
TECTONICS OF THE PODLASIE-LUBLIN HORST ELEVATION IN THE LIGHT OF TELLURIC MEASUREMENTSSummaryIn the periods l961–1962 and 1964–1967 regional telluric surveys were made in the northern part of the Podlasie-Lublin host elevation. The reinterpretation of these materials made .by the present author allowed him to obtain a new tectonic outline of the area considered. On the basis of the electric properties of the rocks examined, magnetotelluric curves were calculated. As a result of this it was ascertained that the intensity of telluric field mainly depend upon the morphology of the crystalline basement. However, a part of the area in study reveals also anomalies related to the folding of the high-resistivity sediments. On the data obtained by several drillings and by means of geophysical methods relations were established between the telluric field intensity and the depth of the basement. These relations were a basis to plot a tectonic map of the crystalline basement of the northern part of this unit (Fig. 6). Determination of the great tectonic development of this unit is one of the main results of the study. There occurs here a system of blocks, which are elevated or downthrown. Of particular interest are here also the results of the investigation of grabens in the basement and the determination of boundary between two geological units of I order, situated north of Łuków (the Podlasie depression and the elevations considered). In addition, the sedimentary structure of Kock was investigated, and its continuation between Kock and Żelechów was traced.Downloads
