Zarys rozwoju rzeźby w plejstocenie południowej części Wyżyny Sandomierskiej
Abstract
DEVELOPMENT OF THE PLEISTOCENE RELIEF IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE SANDOMIERZ UPLANDThe present study embraced the southern part of the Sandomierz Upland, south-east of the Święty Krzyż Mts. At the outset of the paper the relief, which bad existed at the pre-Pleistocene period, is discussed in brief. It was stated that at that time the area under study had strongly been uplifted due to the Rhone phase of orogenic movements and deeply out by the ancestral Vistula river and its tributaries. The declines of the pre-Pleistocene valleys were greater than those observed in the present-day valleys.Downloads
