Uwagi o stratygrafii ordowiku w rejonie Białowieży
Abstract
REMARKS ON THE ORDOVICIAN STRATIGRAPHY IN THE BIAŁOWIEŻA REGIONThe Ordovician of the Białowieża region was for the first time described by J. Znosko (1964), who also distinguished here the following units: Tremadoc, Arenig, Llandeilo and Caradoc, all determined as the Krzyże, the Białowieża and the Pomeranian beds.In connection with the present author's study on macro and microfossils found in the bore-holes (Podborowisko 1 and Krzyże 4) executed in the Białowieża region, and on account of the newer finds in the Dictyonema shales of the Krzyże beds (B. Szymanski, 1964), a necessity has arisen to complete the description published by J. Znosko, and to present the ultimate faunistic documentary materials.Downloads
