Abstract

THE STRUCTURES OF STYLOLITES

Various genetical trends arose in the history of studies on stylolite structures. Here belong: organic, crystallization, erosional, gaseous, bituminous, pressure and solution trends, as wen as that considering solution under pressure.

The to-day's opinions concerning genesis of stylolite structures are only the developed hypotheses on solution under pressure, considering the charges of these two factors. Simultaneously, also erosional hypothesis is taken into account as that ascribing important role to the solution processes.
