Mezoskopowe parakinematyczne struktury w łupkach łyszczykowych okolic Czerniawy Zdroju
Abstract
MESOSCOPIC PARAKINEMATIC STRUCTURES IN MICA SCHISTS MICA WITHN THE CZERNIAWA ZDRÓJ AREASummaryThe present paper shows some problems of the tectonic structure observed in an area of the schist zone at Stara Kamienica,Izera Mts., according to an analysis of the existing mesoscopic structures (foliation, B-lineation). Morphological features of foliation plane and of various types of B-lineation are described, their spatial orientation is given according to the co-ordinate system, as well as relative age aspects of B-lineation are discussed, and tectonic analysis is presented. The results obtained allow the author to draw some conclusions, among which the following seem to be most interesting:1. Mica schists found to occur in the Czerniawa Zdrój vicinity are part of a fold unit of the higher order; its axis runs along an azimuth of 70° and dips under an angle of 25°.2. It is impossible to refer the mica schists of the Stara Kamienica zone to a definite limb of a superior tectonic unit according to the criteria given by J. Oberc (1967a) mainly due to some difficulties in explaining the age of the identically developed B-lineation.3. Most probably, the lineation of grains, observed to occur within the whole area of study is of the same age.4. The correlation of both lithologic and tectonic phenomena suggests that the mica schists with garnets occur within the anticlinal bends of folds, the radius of which amounts to some ten centimeters and the axes run almost parallel.Downloads
