Aspekty geologiczne rozkładu parametrów geotermicznych w Polsce i Europie Środkowej
Abstract
GEOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF DISTRIBUTION OF GEOTHERMAL PARAMETERS IN POLAND AND IN CENTRAL EUROPESummaryThe paper gives the distribution of the values of the density of terrestrial heat flow q for the Central Europe area (Fig. 1). The values, presented against, a background of the main tectonic units, were collected from the world's reviews and European reports of this parameter. The geological and geophysical analyses of the parameters investigated suggest a conclusion as to the character of the distribution of values q and their correlation within the age, with the degree of tectonic development, and with the local geologic structures. The mean values q for the main tectonic units of Poland and of Central Europe oscillate about the mean world's values give by W. H. K. Lee (Tab. 1). The increased values of the density of terrestrial heat flow are observed to occur within the Precambrian platform of East Europe (Podlasie depression, Brześć graben, Dnieper-Donets aulacogene, and the area situated SW of Tomaszów Lubelski). Most probably, this is related to the appearance of the convective component in the region of deep tectonic fractures. On the basis of the values collected, a geothermal profile has been constructed through the Pannoian massif, the Carpathians, the Carpathian foredeep, and the East-European platform (Fig. 2). The analysis of q distribution points to a considerable influence of the sub-crustal generation of heat upon the temperature field of the earth's crust, and to a lack of the correlation of stream value with the occurrence depth of the Conrad discontinuity along the profile.Downloads
