Chemiczne wskaźniki hipergenicznego przeobrażenia skał
Abstract
CHEMICAL INDICES FOR HIPERGENIC ALTERATION OF ROCKSSummaryVarious methods of calculation of indices of weathering for rocks are discussed. The usefulness of these indices for various rock series are evaluated. From all the given methods two indices of weathering are of a greater importance. One of them is 1lhe calculation of gains and losses on the assumption of constant Al2O3 (according to K. B. Krauskopf, 1967). The second one is based on the proportions of the alkali and alkaline earth metals including their bond strengths with oxygen (according to A. Parker, 1970). A whole interpretation of all the indices of weathering must involve all other processes influencing the hipergenic alteration of rocks.Downloads
