Abstract
CHEMICAL AND MINERAL COMPOSITION OF TRIASSIC CARBONATES IN THE ZAWIERCIE AREASummaryIn the present paper the chemical and mineral composition of the Triassic carbonates in the Zawiercie area is reported. On the basis of the results for 1 500 samples from 12 boreholes and S. G. Vishniakov's classification of carbonates the Roth sediments, the Gogolin beds, the ore-bearing dolomites, and the diplopora and Tarnowice beds have been classified. The results are listed in tables and figures in the Polish text. The X-ray data for the insoluble matter of 5 samples of carbonate rocks here reported revealed the presence of quartz, kaolinite, illite, feldspars, and sphalerite.Downloads
