Abstract
CASSITERITE ASSOCIATED WITH CHLORITE IN CHLORITE-MICA SCHISTS OCCURRING AT KROBICA IN THE VICINITY OF ŚWIERADÓWSummaryThe ferrous chlorite occurring in chlorite-mica schists of the Pasmo Kamienickie (Range) is considered as one of the most important minerals from the viewoint of the cassiterite-type of mineralization. This chlorite, as it results from microscopic observations, was simultaneously being formed with mica, disthene and chloritoid, and it also existed during the time of garnet blastesis, since the chlorite constitutes the inclusions within these garnets. It is apparently marked as different from the younger chlorite of the pennine-type.The results of chemical analysis, X-ray diagram and derivatogram indicate that the chlorite is a transitional form between chamosite and thuringite (14 Ǻ –7 Ǻ).Downloads
