Abstract
SEISMIC SURVEY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOLID MINERALS DEPOSITS IN THE PERMIAN AND CARBONIFEROUS ROCKS AND IN THE CRYSTALLINE BASEMENTSummary Seismic surveys completed so far in Poland for solid minerals purposes are reviewed. These surveys were conducted to explore or develop solid minerals deposits in Zechstein and Carboniferous rocks or in the crystalline basement. In the, time of photographic recording the seismic survey was based mainly on refraction method. On introduction of, magnetic recording and multiple cover techniques the reflection method has been widely adopted for solid minerals purposes, chiefly salt and hard coal. The principal trends of further application of seismic methods in solid minerals geology are discussed.Downloads
