O pierwszych wynikach badań geologicznych Merkurego
Abstract
ON THE FIRST RESULTS OF GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF MERCURYSummaryThe American spacecraft Mariner 10 sent to the Earth several thousands of pictures of the mercurian surface and also many data concerning the physical conditions of Mercury as a planet. Pictures of the mercurian surface permit to establish that close similarities exist to the surface of the Moon. The mercurian surface is differentiated into highlands and ,,maria". Many craters, rilles, lava flows and others forma known from the Moon can be observed. The scientific instruments of Mariner 10 investigated the magnetic field, gravitational field, median density of the planet, and the density and chemical composition of the mercurian atmosphere.Downloads
