Abstract
ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF FLUVIAL DEPOSITS IN SITUSummaryThe feasibility of using certain field methods (universal probe, Dutch penetrometer, and light percussion probe) to recognize the geological structure and properties of fluvial sediments is discussed in the present paper.Brief characteristics of the used testing methods are given. The effect of the lithological changes on the variation of physical and mechanical features and the influence of the genesis upon the variation of features at a homogenous lithology are illustrated by some examples.Downloads
