Pozycja stratygraficzna osadów interglacjalnych w Adamóce koł Tarnogrodu (Kotlina Sandomierska)

Abstract

Przedstawiono sytuację geologiczno-geomorfologiczną kopalnych osadów jeziornych w Adamówce. Na podstawie analizy palinologicznej i diatomologicznej utwory te odniesiono do interglacjału mazowieckiego. Serię przykrywającą osady organogeniczne związano z nasuwaniem się Iądolodu zlodowacenia środkowopolskiego.

STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION OF THE INTERGLACIAL DEPOSITS IN ADAMOWKA NEAR TARNOGRÓD (SANDOMIERZ LOWLAND)

A buried in Adamówka filled up with organogenic deposits, is situated in the watershed between the Tanew and Lubaczówka rivers (Fig. 1). The bottom and slopes of the lake are built of Tertiary clay-silts. The South-Polish Glaciation till, 2 - 4 m thick, is situated above the lake basin (Figs. 3, 5). The thickness of the organogenic, limnic deposits is 9,5 m (Fig. 4). The profile based on the pollen and diatom analyses of the limnic deposits shows the presence of plant succession including one cycle of wide climatic changes corresponding to the Masovian Interglacial (K. Binka et aI., 1987) At the top of the limnic series the remains of fossil soil occur (Fig. 4, leyer 11) pointing out the sedimentary discontinuity. Pollen grains preserved in the soil show the presence of the tundra-type flora rich in herbs (K. Binka et al., 1987). Dusty sands and silts of thickness of 13.5 m situated above the organogenic deposits, correspond in the writer's opinion to the begining of advance of the Middle-Polish Glaciation (Fig. 3, layers 4, 5; Fig. 5, layer 4). The recent character of the Adamówka region relief (Figs. 2, 3) is the result of long lasting influence (the Upper Pleistocene-Holocene) of erosion and denudation processes which changed the old glaciogenic relief of the region.
